Cooroy Future Group (CFG), formerly Cooroy Lower Mill Board Inc, is the managing body of the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre (CBFAC). Comprised of community volunteers, the CFG works to develop and sustain facilities in the Cooroy area for the benefit of present and future generations with balanced consideration to history, culture, education, arts and economics.
Sophie has a lifelong passion for the arts, human rights and social justice. She is an experienced teacher, university educator, and school executive, and has worked with Indigenous communities to improve access to education for young people. She has leadership experience in community organisations, and is committed to providing opportunities for the whole Hinterland community to participate in and access the arts at a thriving Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre.
Long-time Noosa local Greg resides in Lake Macdonald – just a short drive from Cooroy.
Greg is a Chartered Accountant. Following an early career in financial management within the corporate and Local Government sectors Greg now provides accounting and audit services to small business and associations, with a history of establishing not-for-profits and taking them through to Deductible Gift Recipient status.
Past President and Chair of the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre, Carol has lived in Cooroy since 2005. She has owned her own very successful business, has a background in Human Resources and Marketing management, and has held senior leadership roles with the local State Emergency Service. She has been President of Noosa Open Studios Inc twice with 4 years on the management committee of that organisation, and as an exhibiting ceramics artist is passionate about arts and community.
Stan Ryan has been a member of the Cooroy Future Group Inc. originally Cooroy Lower Mill Board Inc. since its inception. He has lived in Cooroy for 59 years and has been an integral part of the community. He has been with the Noosa unit of the State Emergency Service for 44 years in the role of Local Controller and a senior trainer. Stans hands on skills and knowledge of the Butter Factory with his dedication to getting things done is invaluable.
